Submitting tech reports

When you see anything not work as expected or there is a bug, glitch or potential exploit that you've come across on TRP. It's vital to have this reported to TRP Staff so that we're able to look at fixing the issue at hand to avoid further disruption or potential exploits on the server.

It should be noted that any server mechanic exploits fall under our Community Rule 5 - Glitching/Exploiting is prohibited. Exploiting server mechanics will result in an immediate 30-day server suspension.

Head to the #contact-support channel and you'll see the option to submit a GTA Tech Report.

You can easily get your logs by following these steps below:

  1. ‎Bring up your Start menu or Run (Windows key + R) and search for %localappdata%.
  2. ‎Look for the FiveM server.
  3. ‎Go into the FiveM Application Data folder.
  4. ‎Open up the Logs folder and you'll want to find the most recent log file or one that matches around the time of the issues occurring.
  5. ‎Now keep the folder and file open, open up a web browser tab and go to File.io.
  6. ‎Upload your log file to file.io and then copy the link that you're provided as you'll need this for your report.

It may seem a lot at first when you see all the forms, take your time and provide as much context that you can about what happened at the time. Make sure to be as clear as possible with any replicating steps if possible. Avoid using terms like “tsunami and storm” to indicate a server restart or crash, use “the server had restarted” instead. Our Quality Assurance (QA) team and devs need as much info in order to replicate the issue where we can.
