The History of Our World

The year is 1897. In an alternate timeline, the United States of America has emerged from the Civil War as a beacon of prosperity and progress with President Alfred MacAlister's finalization of the demarcation lines for the states of Ambarino, Lemoyne, New Austin, New Hanover, and West Elizabeth. In this era, the country boasts a rich tapestry of ethnicities and backgrounds, united in the Five States realm where discrimination and prejudice based on race, heritage, skin color, gender, class, or sexuality are non-existent now. Every person is treated with respect and dignity, and the scourge of iniquity is nowhere to be found.

In this world, the Native people and the colonists have since forged a harmonious relationship, working together to cultivate and develop the land. Slavery and servitude are no longer a part of the societal fabric, and battles are fought over more common reasons like money, business, commerce, and societal power. Despite the modernization and progress in the United States after the War, there are still those who adamantly hold on to the antiquated customs of the Wild West, steadfast in their commitment to upholding their traditional practices of outlawry, larceny, and unlawful behavior.

The country has opened its doors to commerce and travel, attracting people from far and wide to its shores. Trade flourishes and the exchange of goods and ideas between nations propels the country towards a brighter future. As the nation undergoes this transformation, a new energy and vitality course through the land, ushering in a new age of innovation and progress.

Inhabited by few, Ambarino is a vast, rugged landscape to traverse.

Enjoy the lush meadows and southern climate of Lemoyne's countryside, or take in the lights in the cultural city of Saint Denis. That's if you make it through the foreboding marshland and Bayou Nwa.

Favored by outlaws, New Austin fights to keep the west as wild as possible, causing tensions to run high in the desert state.

Hanover is a land of sprawling plains and forests, perfect for hunters and herbalists. Outside the mining towns and oilfields, untapped nature waits.

Prosperity and Industry intersect in this vast state. The hunting is good but the industrialized ways approach as evident in Blackwater.
